Responsible Gambling
Gambling should remain a form of entertainment that you can afford. This page explains the risks, the tools available in your account and where you can find help in Switzerland.
Minimum Age
Gambling at G357 is permitted only from the age of 18. Minors cannot open a player account.
The age confirmation shown when you first visit the site does not replace the identity and age verification carried out at registration. We check every player’s date of birth against an official identity document before the account is finally opened.
If minors use your devices, keep your login details secret and log out after every session.
Player Protection
As a Swiss casino, Casino Interlaken AG is required by the Federal Act on Gambling to protect players from excessive gambling. Our measures include:
- identity verification and a check against the Swiss exclusion register for every player;
- limits, gaming breaks and voluntary exclusion that you can set yourself in your account;
- early detection: we monitor play behaviour and contact players where there are signs of risk;
- exclusions imposed by the casino where required by law.
Understanding Gambling
Casino games are games of chance. Every result is random and independent of earlier rounds: a series of losses does not make a win more likely.
Every game has a built-in house edge. Over time, the casino keeps a share of all stakes, so players as a whole lose more than they win. The payout rate of each game is shown in its help screen.
- See any money you spend as the price of entertainment, not as an investment.
- No system, strategy or pattern can beat a game of chance.
- Gambling is not a way to earn money or to solve financial problems.
- Do not chase losses by raising your stakes.
- Set yourself a budget and a time limit before you start, and take regular breaks.
Recognising Gambling Addiction
Gambling can become a problem gradually. Warning signs include:
- you gamble longer or with more money than you planned;
- you try to win back losses;
- you borrow money or neglect bills in order to gamble;
- you hide your gambling from people close to you;
- you feel restless or irritable when you are not gambling;
- work, family or friendships suffer because of gambling.
If you recognise yourself or someone close to you in these points, talk to one of the help organisations listed below. Advice is free and confidential.
Self-Assessment
Answer the following questions honestly with "yes" or "no". They relate to the last twelve months.
- Have you often spent more time or money on gambling than you intended?
- Have you gambled again to win back money you had lost?
- Have you needed to stake larger amounts to feel the same excitement?
- Have you borrowed money or sold something in order to gamble or to pay gambling debts?
- Have you hidden or played down your gambling to family, friends or colleagues?
- Have you felt restless or irritable when trying to cut down or stop gambling?
- Have you neglected work, studies, family or other obligations because of gambling?
- Have you gambled to escape problems, stress or low mood?
- Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling without success?
- Has gambling caused financial difficulties or arguments in your household?
If you answered "yes" to one or more questions, this is a reason to talk to someone about your gambling. Contact one of the help organisations or our Player Protection Team at playsafe@g357.slonik.store. You can also set limits or take a gaming break straight away.
Deposit Limits
Under Limits in your account you can set the maximum amount in CHF that you can deposit per day, per week and per month.
A reduction applies immediately. An increase or removal of a limit takes effect only after a 24-hour waiting period, so that the decision is not made on impulse.
Loss Limits and Session Time
A loss limit sets the maximum net loss in CHF per day, per week or per month. When the limit is reached, you cannot place further stakes until the period ends.
You can also set a maximum session time in minutes. The same rule applies to both: a reduction applies immediately, while an increase or removal takes effect only after 24 hours.
Gaming Breaks
If you want to stop playing for a while, you can take a gaming break under Breaks and Exclusion. You can choose 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 3 months.
A gaming break cannot be ended early. During the break you cannot play or make deposits.
A gaming break applies only to your account at G357. If you want to be excluded from all Swiss casinos, request a voluntary exclusion.
Voluntary Exclusion
You can request a voluntary exclusion at any time, either under Breaks and Exclusion in your account or in writing to Casino Interlaken AG, Strandbadstrasse 44, 3800 Interlaken, enclosing a copy of a valid identity document.
The exclusion is entered in the central Swiss exclusion register and applies to:
- all land-based and online casino games in Switzerland;
- since 7 January 2025, casino games in the Principality of Liechtenstein;
- online large-scale lottery games such as Lotto or EuroMillions.
The exclusion has no fixed end date. You can request that it be lifted at the earliest 3 months after it was entered, in writing to the casino that registered it. Lifting is never automatic and is granted only if the reason for the exclusion no longer exists; the casino may require a conversation or supporting documents. The Federal Gaming Board (FGB) itself neither imposes nor lifts exclusions.
Exclusion Imposed by the Casino
Swiss law also requires casinos to impose an exclusion themselves if they know, or must assume on the basis of reports or their own observations, that a person:
- is over-indebted or does not meet their financial obligations;
- places stakes that are out of proportion to their income and assets;
- is reported by a specialist body as having a gambling addiction.
Such an exclusion is also entered in the Swiss exclusion register and has the same effect as a voluntary exclusion.
Player Protection Team
Our Player Protection Team monitors play behaviour, in particular the frequency and duration of play, stakes and deposits. If there are signs of risk, the team may contact you, apply measures such as limits or impose an exclusion.
You can contact the Player Protection Team at any time at playsafe@g357.slonik.store, for example if you are worried about your own gambling or that of someone close to you.
